Puerto Iguazú
Discover the majestic falls of iguazú
The Iguazú Falls in South America are heralded as the most dramatic and among the most monumental waterfalls in the
world, tumbling over the cliffs on the border with the Argentine province of Misiones. Voted one of the Seven Natural
Wonders of the World, the Iguazú Falls is undoubtedly the most visited place in Misiones and one of the most imposing
natural attractions in the world.
Taller than Niagara and wider than Victoria, the Iguazú Falls are the result of a volcanic eruption that left a large crack in
the earth. The waterfall system consists of 275 falls along 2.7 km (1.67 miles) of the Iguazú River. Prepare for an
unforgettable Iguazu trip to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of these falls.
Paddleboarding, boating, and kayaking are all adventure activities available in Iguazú. Enjoy the waterfalls from many adventurous vantage points and practice water sports in one of the most unique destinations in South America. For the extra adventurous, enjoy an aerial view of the waterfalls and try a helicopter tour of the falls.
It’s impossible to visit Iguazú and not enjoy the magical views which surround you at every moment. But, if you want to dedicate some time to exploring the splendor of this world wonder, take a boat ride to get up close and personal with the incredible waterfalls. The roaring waters and breathtaking nature were enough to win Eleanor Roosevelt's heart, and you’re bound to love it too.
Many of the resorts in the area are geared towards those looking for rest and relaxation. Book a spa appointment after a long day of adventure around the falls and enjoy personalized massages, facials, and more. Enjoy a property with features like saunas and infinity pools, yoga lessons with views of the waterfalls, and more.

Take the Full Moon Tour of Iguazú During five nights every month, Iguazú National Park opens up for visitors to tour the falls by the moonlight and watch the hundreds of cascades on the Argentine side. There are three tours a night, and you will get to ride the train to Garganta del Diablo for a magical experience, listening to the sounds of nocturnal life along the way. You’ll see the falls under the eerily beautiful lighting in a more intimate setting, and if you’re lucky enough, you may even catch a “midnight rainbow” made by the moonlight passing through the mists.
Gran Meliá Iguazú Gran Meliá Iguazú is the only hotel located right inside of Iguazú National Park and boasts views of the falls themselves. This is also a benefit as, when the park opens, it is possible to wander out to the falls before the main crowds arrive given the privileged access. The hotel itself offers luxury, backed by the high standard of the Meliá Hotels name. Beyond the unbeatable location, many of the rooms in this hotel also have views of the falls, with terraces that let you have a private, intimate Iguazú Falls experience without even leaving your hotel room. The hotel also has fantastic amenities like a luxury infinity pool, a spa and wellness center with customized treatments, and a full-service restaurant with mouthwatering international cuisine and breathtaking views.
