Thanks for your e-mail.  Despite our flight from Lima being canceled, we were able to rebook on LAN and made it home on time last night, for which we were very grateful.

We absolutely loved Peru and had a great experience with Kuoda.  When Mery filled in for Edgar and escorted us to our cooking class Sunday morning, I told her exactly that and sang your praises and Karina’s.  I also promised to post a review on TripAdvisor.

Mery too asked for feedback, and we told her that the only minor (emphasizing minor) thing we would change is that we would have appreciated more information about the difficulty of the Huanaypicchu hike.  While the hike may be typical by Peruvian standards, it’s quite advanced by American ones, and we were surprised.  In the end, it was fine, as Steve absolutely loved the hike, and I was glad I’d done it.  But, and I didn’t say this to Mery, it would have been better if you had let us know how challenging the mountain climb is.  Also, I don’t remember being told that the hike had to happen between 7:00-8:00am or 10:00-11:00am.  That info would have been helpful too, as we planned the rest of the day.

But please don’t get hung up on that one piece of feedback.  We were thrilled with our trip – your very personalized service, the quality of our guide/drivers/host, the efficiency of the logistics, and the amazing cooking class at Marcelo Batata that you suggested.  Thanks again for all of your help planning our adventure.  It was a trip of a lifetime.
