We loved it! The guides, Fernando in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu and Manuel in Puno/Lake Titicaca, were wonderful. They both had interesting information to impart and were very sincere in guiding us through their respective areas. Dania (I think that’s the spelling) in Lima was also very interesting. It was fascinating to get the different perspectives re: Inca vs. Spanish culture. All had good English, and it amazes me that they’re able to be so fluent without having studied in an English-speaking country.

The hotels were wonderful. I think my favorite was the one in the Sacred Valley. It was also great to be able to stay in Machu Picchu an extra day at the hotel there, and do the walk to the Sun Gate. The Cusco hotel was a little -over the top, but it was a great location.

The communication between the main office and guides/clients was good. We appreciated your getting us to the airport early on the day of the expected strike (even though it meant getting up at 2:30 a.m.!), though it appeared not much came of it. We saw a lot of people arriving at 8 or so with no apparent trouble. But nobody knew what would happen, so the early departure was good. (We were hoping Manuel and the driver would make it back to town with no trouble.) I would have liked more hiking and maybe kayaking (on Lake Titicaca), but I think the others were happy with the level of activity we had. We needed more time, and maybe one day Bruce and I will return and do the things we missed this time. I will definitely recommend Kuodo Travel to friends and acquaintances. You do an excellent job.
