We choose our holidays carefully and don’t like to travel as part of a crowd. Over the years we have chosen to travel with a British based, high end, award winning travel company to many parts of the undeveloped world. On this occasion we chose to test their offer with one or two locally based companies (ie Peru).

I searched TA for recommended companies and Kuoda was identified as a company with very good reviews. Contact was made to the Kuoda (and others) but this company stood out – responsive, very good value for money and very clear proposals. Urpi (our fantastic travel consultant) responded within 24 hours of my initial contact and came up with ideas that ticked many boxes for us. Our plans continued to develop over the next month until all their competitors were kicked into the long grass. Friends had travelled to Peru with a tour group 12 months previously and their cost, together with our British based company offered cost comparators.

Our agreed plan involved escorted travel throughout Peru, high end accommodation, and individual touches/experiences that others could not match- lunch in private homes, community based weavers not some tourist location, flexibility in our plans and a commitment to ensure we had the best holiday possible. Urpi assured us throughout our email exchange and we decided to book through Kuoda. Urpi continued to keep us informed until and throughout our travels through Peru via email – eventually meeting her in Cusco – which was a delight. On arrival at each airport/train station – we were clearly met by our friendly and knowledgeable guides. Arrangements were smooth and very professional.

When I was taken ill in Arequipa (our second day) with altitude sickness – we could not have asked for a more helpful, responsive and caring support – medical support and advice within 20 minutes, translator, genuine concern for my wellbeing and regular medical check ups over the holiday. I could not have asked for better support anywhere in the world.
I would highly recommend this company and I genuinely feel like an extended member of the Kuoda family.
