Claire is originally from the UK but has lived in Peru since 1999. She originally came to South America to work as a tour leader throughout the whole continent. Over this time, she gained an excellent working knowledge of the culture, geography and history of South America, as well as a passion for travel, new experiences and a genuine love for this part of the world. Peru has been her home for over 20 years, which she decided to use as her base, due to her love of the mountains and pristine landscapes. She has worked in tourism ever since and is committed to sharing valuable information, insight and knowledge, in a way that will help you get the most out of your time in the region. Her focus is to help you create an innovative, original, exciting travel itinerary that will stay in your memories for years to come.

Most recent trip/cultural activity

I hiked the 2 day Inca trail with my 9 year old daughter (it had just recently re opened after the pandemic) and it was her first trip to Machu Picchu. This option is perfect for those looking for a shorter hike (1 day actually hiking, with the second day in Machu Picchu) and with impressive lesser visited Inca ruins such as Chachabamba.

Favorite Trip Experience

There are so many to choose from, though Easter Island, The Salar de Uyuni, in Bolivia, Salvador in Brazil and Kuelap in the north of Peru are in my top five list of things to do in Latin America!

Next Trip

Definitely Colombia, I still haven’t been able to visit yet and have heard so many good things about the country!
