Peru

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Peru is open to all vaccinated travelers and these are exempt from presenting a negative COVID-19 test result and from quarantine.
  • All travelers 12 years and older entering the country must show their COVID-19 vaccination card with the completed dose. Otherwise, they must show a negative molecular test issued up to 48 hours prior to boarding. Children under 12 years old are only required to be asymptomatic to board.
  • All travelers entering the country must complete the Affidavit of Health and Geolocation Authorization within 72 hours before departure to enter the country.
  • For interprovincial travel within Peruvian territory, the same requirement of a completed (with booster) vaccination dose or a negative PCR test (within the 72 hours prior), is required for all those over 18 years of age.
  • All travelers entering Peru, fully vaccinated or not, must comply with mandatory wearing of a KN95 mask or single surgical mask plus cloth mask to circulate in public. Each person must present proof of full vaccination, including booster, to enter enclosed places.

TRAVELING TO MACHU PICCHU?

  • At Machu Picchu: Masks are mandatory within the citadel.
  • Inca Trail to Machu Picchu: You must wear a mask in public areas around people, though you may remove the mask while you are hiking
  • Trains within Peru: You must have proof of full vaccination OR a negative test in order to take the trains. Furthermore, you must either have two surgical or one KN95 mask on.
  • Bus to Machu Picchu: You must have proof of full vaccination OR a negative test in order to take the trains. Furthermore, you must either have two surgical or one KN95 mask on.

Ecuador

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • For a mainland and Galapagos Islands: Travelers over 3 years old must present a COVID-19 vaccination card with QR code or a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing the traveler received a complete series of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to entering Ecuador, or proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR or antigen test taken no more than 72 hours prior to boarding the flight to Ecuador, and
  • A Traveler’s Health Declaration, which must be printed and shown once you arrive at the airport.
  • PCR Tests are required only for travelers who are not vaccinated. (Applies to the mainland, and the Galapagos Islands)
  • Travelers entering Ecuador who were diagnosed as COVID-19 positive, and after one month continue to obtain a result from an RT-PCR test, may present a medical certificate from their country of origin attesting to their recovery, absence of symptoms, and that they are no longer contagious.
  • As of 28 April 2022, the use of masks is no longer mandatory in public spaces (both indoors and out). However, private establishments may impose their own biosecurity rules and request the use of masks. We recommend you carry a mask together with your proof of vaccination.

Additional entry requirements to the Galapagos Islands:

  • A “transit control card” issued by the Government of Galapagos. Contact your travel designer for more information on this requirement.

Colombia

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • All non-resident travelers of 18 years and over must be vaccinated with a full dose to enter Colombia. Travelers must have had the final dose of the vaccine at least 14 days before entering the country (The definition of the complete scheme shall be in accordance with the technical recommendation of the producer of each vaccine).
  • The Colombian Government recognizes those vaccines authorized by the WHO (AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine, Johnson and Johnson, Moderna, Pfizer/BionTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac, COVAXIN, Covovax, Nuvaxovid), or those officially approved by a country or territory recognized by the United Nations.
  • Proof of vaccination requirements: either vaccination cards or digital certificates are accepted as proof of vaccination and they must show as a minimum: Holder’s full name, type of ID (e.g., passport) and number (if included in the certificate), vaccination date, vaccine administered, and number of doses administered
  • Foreign nationals who are not holders of a Permanent Resident visa and have started but not completed their vaccination scheme or have had their final dose less than 14 days before travel, will be able to enter Colombia showing proof of a negative PCR test issued no later than 72 hours prior to boarding.
  • Foreign nationals with symptoms of COVID-19, that have tested positive or that have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive in the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter the country.
  • All must complete the Check-Mig form within 24 hours and 1 hour prior to arrival, upon arrival to, and before departure from Colombia. You will receive a confirmation email that you will need to present upon arrival in Colombia.
  • During your visit to Colombia, the use of masks is not mandatory. However, there are still some places that may require it. Handwashing and the use of hand sanitizer is strongly recommended.
  • Travelers may enter with a negative PCR or antigen test, without the need to have the complete vaccination schedule. The test will have to be carried out in the 72 hours prior to arrival in Colombia –48 hours if it is an antigen test–. In addition, the option of presenting the complete vaccination schedule will be maintained, without requiring additional proof.
  • The vaccination card will no longer be mandatory to enter massive and closed events, restaurants, bars, museums, cinemas, sporting events, among others.

Chile

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Although it is not mandatory, we recommend to have a negative PCR test taken within the 72 hours prior to boarding.
  • Diagnostic tests will be carried out randomly at the entry point to Chile.
    Confirmed cases shall be isolated according to the general health regulations.
  • A complete the Travel Affidavit up to 48 hours before boarding.
  • A health insurance that covers any possible COVID-19 requirements in-country, and with a minimum coverage of USD $30,000.
  • A Mobility Pass must be obtained before traveling via the national vaccine validation system cl, which verifies the vaccinations that each person has acquired. Please be advised this needs to be done with at least 30 days anticipation, as it can take 14-30 days to process. The pass allows you to enter the inside lounges in restaurants, cinemas, theatres, and on bus trips, among others.

Bolivia

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travelers who do not have a completed Covid-19 vaccination certificate, with a minimum of 14 days validity, must complete a PCR test on arrival (at their own cost) and self-isolate until a negative test result is given.
  • A sworn declaration must be completed before entering the country.
  • Visitors need a health insurance including coverage for Covid-19 treatment.
  • The wearing of facemasks in public places is mandatory in some municipalities.
  • The CDC will no longer order air passengers to show a negative COVID-19 test result, or show documentation of recovery from COVID-19, prior to boarding a flight to USA.

Argentina

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A negative COVID-19 test is not required for entry.
  • If you are not vaccinated or have an incomplete vaccination schedule, we recommend you to take a test within 24 hours after entering the country.
  • A sworn declaration must be completed at least 48 hours before boarding.
  • Medical travel insurance that includes hospitalization, quarantine, and transportation coverage of COVID-19 for those who tested positive, are a suspected case of COVID-19 infection, or are contact of a probable confirmed case.
