A couple we are friends with went with my wife and myself on a four person tour of areas in Peru in May, 2017. We went with Kuoda Travel. They are a small company that is based in Cusco and does small tours (family, small groups of two or three couples, etc). We worked with a woman Celine de Visser and she was extremely accommodating. She recommended sites and visits and let us customize our trip. All logistics, hotels, luggage transfer, train and bus tickets, museum tickets, lunches were handled by Kuoda. They listened to what we were expecting and provided us with an incredible itinerary. Their guides were fantastic, Bart in Lima and Ofelia Ayala for the rest of the trip. They were like walking encyclopedias; they knew the history, the culture, the language, the architecture, pretty much everything we wanted know. We were never rushed, we spent as much time at the sites we wanted. They treated us like friends, not clients. The drivers (you really don’t want to drive in Peru if you don’t have to and I like to drive) were superb, we felt very safe and confident with their driving. At the end of the trip the owner, Mery Calderon, met us in Lima. Talk about hands on treatment! I would recommend Kuoda Travel with the highest possible rating. It was literally the trip of a lifetime.
