From the minute I first emailed this company about planning a trip, I was amazed by their efficiency and incredible attention to detail. Our travel planner, Tom, paid attention to our requests and made sure everything we asked for was included. Another person was added to our trip about three months prior to our departure, and they did not hesitate to make changes for that person. The planning stage could not have gone smoother.

The trip itself was amazing. They met us at the airport (about 1am by the time we got through Customs and Immigration) and took us to our hotel. When we arrived in Cusco the next morning, another Kuoda staff member met us there with a smile. Our tour guide while in Cusco (Alvin), was incredible! He was extremely knowledgable and gave us information we would not have found in any travel books. The hike on the Inca Trail was difficult, but Alvin made sure we rested when needed and never rushed us. Once we got to Machu Picchu, Alvin showed us the best locations for photos. Machu Picchu was beyond incredible, and the stories/history behind the location made it that much more impressive. When we left Cusco, Mery (the owner) met us at the airport to make sure that we were happy with our trip and to ask for any suggestions or recommendations. She was eager to hear our feedback.

Overall, Kuoda is a very professional company that truly cares about customer service. I felt very safe during our trip. A driver and guide was provided every step of the way (important in hectic Peruvian traffic!!). The hotels that were chosen were safe and beautiful. The tour guides were attentive and met all our requests (like to find baby alpaca yarn in Cusco). I could not have been more pleased with my choice to pick Kuoda. I plan to return to Peru in the near future and will not hesitate one bit to use this company again.
