Thanks to all of Kuoda’s 5-star TripAdvisor reviews, I chose Kuoda to help plan our 8-night trip to Peru, including Machu Picchu & Lake Titicaca.

I knew that a local company would know the area best and be able to show us off-the-beaten track experiences that we’d always remember. The planning experience via email back-and-forths went smoothly thanks to Jesus Ramos. From being greeted at the airport by Rocio, to meeting the owner, Mery, at the Cusco Airport, where she assured us our plans wouldn’t be disrupted by a sudden train strike, we felt extremely well-taken care of at each step of the trip, with Jason checking in on us all along the way. We spent 3 days in the Sacred Valley where the highlight was the 7-course meal at Hacienda Sarapampa, then the Hiram Bingham train to Machu Picchu, where our guide Julio arranged to have a doctor waiting for me at the hotel after I twisted my ankle. Then on to Puno/Lake Titicaca on a private boat where our guide Jose Luis pointed to a yellow-striped tent at the top of Taquile Island and said “That’s where we’re having lunch” which turned out to be fresh-caught trout, potatoes, rice, quinoa soup, and a spectacular view.
