Had the opportunity to visit Peru and was overwhelmed at the prospect of putting a trip together with so many moving parts. I found Kuoda through the Fodor’s Peru guide…and after perusing reviews here confirming their endorsement, I booked my trip with Celine, my travel advisor with Kuoda. From the first contact, she was professional, informative, prompt with responses and very flexible and attentive to detail!

Celine designed a wonderful trip to Cusco and the Sacred Valley for me, my daughter and my friend and her daughter. It was a thoughtful itinerary that was designed around seeing the best of the area but also, helpfully, timed to help us acclimate to the Cusco altitude. We loved the hotels Kuoda recommended to us (Sol Y Luna in Urumbamba – HEAVEN!!), the Inkaterra Macchu Picchu (so beautiful, and we wish we could have stayed longer) and finally, the Casa Cartagena in Cusco (lovely!).

From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Every detail was thought of, and taken care of and the level of service was excellent. We had drivers and private guides for every location we visited, handling all the little details like admission and train tickets that can get stressful. The itinerary included stops for things our group was interested in that went beyond the expected touristy spots — from enjoying an authentic Peruvian pachamanca feast on a gorgeous organic farm with incredible mountain views to horseback riding on paso horses with a private lunch overlooking the mountains – to making chocolate at the Cusco chocolate museum (huge kid favorite).

All of the staff we worked with were outstanding! Alex, Liseth, Ericka, Elias, and Alicia in Lima — universally professional, fantastic, knowledgable and warm. We even had one travel hiccup when I left a bag at the Cusco airport. I realized it in the evening. Liseth was on the case after hours, and on it the next morning at 7:00 AM. She refused to take no for an answer when one staffer at the airport said the bag wasn’t there – and got me my bag back! What a relief to have someone who can advocate for you like that in a foreign country.

I cannot recommend Kuoda highly enough! Book your trip confidently with them and enjoy the beauty that is Peru! We miss it so much already.
