Thank you for welcoming us back home!  We had a wonderful trip in South America!  We would love to return there someday!

We would like to thank you and your incredible team for making our time in Peru so very special!  We really have a heart for Peru now!  We really loved it and the weather was perfect too!!  All along the way, our guides and drivers were so professional and took such good care of us.  They were extremely knowledgeable and made learning about Peru really fun!  We never suffered any effects from the altitude so going to the lower altitude first and working our way backwards was the best plan for us.  We met many people on our ship who had gone to Cusco first and really suffered from the altitude.  They kept saying they wished they had done it the way we did.  The acomodations were lovely!  We really enjoyed Sol y Luna Lodge and Spa!  Beautiful!  Their phones weren’t working so it was a little odd to not be aBueble to call if we needed anything but other than that it was perfect.  Corina was a fabulous guide!  She had wonderful energy and shared so many interesting things with us about Peru.  We loved her!  She was very patient with me as I tried to make up my mind on buying a lot of scarves for loved ones at the house where we learned all about their weaving and at the silver factory where I successfully found two necklaces.  It was nice to not feel rushed.  She also took the time in Cusco to show us an unexpected parade that was happening.  It was really fun to see the participants in their lavish costumes, hear the music, etc.!  Everyone had plenty of bottled water in the cars for us which really helped.  Thank you!  The train ride through the Sacred Valley was very beautiful.

However, It did get cold in the evenings in our room and the lighting was too dim to read.  We had extra clothes with us but guests should be warned the toilet seat etc. gets cold.  It was beautiful but we felt like we were camping due to the coldness.  The dining room was very nice and we enjoyed eating breakfast outside overlooking the raging river!  Wow!  We’ve never seen a river like that before!  We ended up walking along the river one day to the museum and garden.  It was a nice way to spend the time and we enjoyed the museum before going up to Machu Picchu.  Our guide, Percy, was great!   He manuevered us around the site so we were never with other groups.  He had such a pleasant demeanor and was very knowledgeable about everything.  We really enjoyed him!  He was a good match for us!  Staying at the Machu Picchu Hotel was nice too.  They had live Peruvian music which was fun! We ended up buying a few of their cds. The front desk said they would wake us for sunrise if the weather was going to be good.  It wasn’t so we got to sleep in a little bit.  We did enjoy our second day of exploring on our own.  I think we would have stayed another day if we were to do it again. The weather was perfect….blue skies, puffy white clouds and sunshine!  Wow!  We took so many photos!  All the places we saw such as the salt pans, Moray, etc.  were fabulous as were seeing how the people actually live.  We wish we would have had a full day or so in Cusco.  It would have been interesting to see more there but at the time of booking we didn’t know how we’d do with the elevation.  Our guide in Lima, Alex, was very professional as well and got us around to all the sights and to our ship with plenty of time to check in. Didn’t get to see the fountains as we were there when they weren’t operating.  Next time!  All of the drivers were very polite and drove safely.  We really can’t think of anything to complain about!  Everyone did a first class job!!  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your planning, attention to detail and making this trip so memorable for us.  We shared your name with many we talked to on the ship and we will continue to recommend you to people we know is Seattle.  You are a top notch travel agency and we appreciate you!  Thank you!
