Itinerary

Welcome to Bolivia!

When your flight arrives in La Paz, a Kuoda host will welcome you personally and escort you to the hotel. We will drop you off at your hotel so you can refresh before a private city tour.

An expert guide will lead you through the streets of La Paz for an exclusive cultural tour. Learn about noteworthy historical landmarks like those in the central Plaza Murillo, shop in colorful and mystical markets like the famous Witches’ Market, and explore some of the city’s captivating museums.

In the afternoon, leave the urban environs behind for a trip out to the Valley of the Moon – with ragged peaks and lunar landforms caused by centuries of erosion.

Lake Titicaca, Sun Island

After breakfast, set off to Lake Titicaca. Board a catamaran and sail to the Island of the Sun, the legendary birthplace of the Inca people. You’ll mingle with the locals and stop by the archaeological museum to learn about the region’s unconventional ways of living. Back on the catamaran, enjoy dinner while watching a cultural show before settling into your comfortable cabin for the night.

Lake Titicaca, Sun Island

Uncover Inca secrets at the Sun Island’s ancient stairways, and get up close to the Sacred Fountain, which is said to endow eternal youth and happiness. You’ll also learn about local traditions at a cultural complex before taking a trip on a traditional boat made entirely from reeds.

Eat lunch back on board the cruiser as you journey toward the port of Chua. Then enjoy scenic views from the window of the bus on your return journey to La Paz.

Discover the mysteries of Tiahuanaco

After breakfast, you will escape to Tiahuanaco, the ancient capital of an extremely advanced pre-Inca civilization that – despite these impressive remnants – still remains an elusive mystery from 700 A.D. Wander the archaeological sites including pyramids, the Sun Gate, and curious monoliths.

Later, return to La Paz for some free time as you explore the city at leisure.

Bid farewell to Bolivia

Going home is the worst part of any luxury trip to Bolivia, but at Kuoda, we’ll do our best to make it as smooth and hassle-free as possible. We’ll bring you to the airport for your return flight home. Buen Viaje!
