Peru Nominated for 41 World Travel Awards Kuoda Travel Included
In the 2017 South America edition of the World Travel Awards, Peru and several of its travel industry operators have been nominated for a total of 41 awards, including Kuoda Travel in the category of “Peru’s Leading Tour Operator.” The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in Riviera Maya, Mexico on September 9, 2017.
Peru’s nominations span 31 categories in the private sector and 10 categories in the country sector, to include a 6-time nomination as South America’s Leading Culinary Destination; an award Peru has won each of the last five years. Peru is also in the running for South America’s leading destination for culture, sustainable travel, and adventure tourism, while Peru’s Tourism Board, PROMPERU, is up for the title of “South America’s Leading Tourist Board.” This will be the second year in a row that Kuoda Travel has been nominated for a World Travel Award.
The World Travel Awards winners are to be determined by an online voting process that opened on March 22, 2017. Travel industry professionals and travel consumers can cast their vote until voting closes on July 19, 2017.
The winners of the 2017 South America edition of the World Travel Awards will go on to compete in a global edition later this year in Phu Quoc, Vietnam.
The World Travel Awards acknowledge and reward excellence to members of the travel and tourism industry who are raising the standards of their product and service offering. The Awards have occurred annually since 2005.
