Marriott International to Introduce 5 New Hotel Brands to Peru by 2021

Marriott International has plans to expand their presence in Peru by introducing 5 new hotel brands to the country. Currently, their Peruvian hotel portfolio consists of JW Marriott, Courtyard, Westin, Sheraton, Luxury Collection, and Four Points. By 2021, Fairfield Inn, Aloft, Residence Inn, Moxy Hotels, and Delta Hotels will be added to the list.

According to Tim Sheldon, President of Marriott International for Latin America and the Caribbean, Aloft, a millennial-focused hotel chain, will be the first of the new brands to enter Peru, with the first hotel opening in Miraflores in November and another opening on the Costa Verde sometime next year.

Also next year, a Fairfield Inn will open in Tarapoto and Miraflores. In 2020, Moxy Hotels will join the portfolio, followed by Delta Hotels in Miraflores and a Residence Inn to open its doors in San Isidro in 2021.

This expansion by Marriott International is the result of working with local partners to determine which of Marriott’s brands best fit the needs of Peruvian consumers and the tourism market.

In accordance with the same market research, an additional Courtyard is planned to open in front of the Jorge Chavez International Airport in 2021, adding yet another airport hotel option for travelers flying into and out of Lima.
